Gavin Aung Than’s newest cartoon pays a touching tribute to Jack Kirby and many of the comic greats. In Than’s interpretation, a young cartoonist breaks down in tears over the lack of progress in his drawings. He grabs a space helmet and opens a portal into another dimension that ends at the Hall of Cartooning Greats. There, he finds inspiration and is able to break through his “cartoonist’s block.”
